Nat20 Brawl

A beat 'em up on the 5e SRD. Every punch is an attack roll. Every spell is a hitbox.

The game

What Nat20 Brawl is.

A side-scrolling brawler in the Streets of Rage and Shadow over Mystara tradition, with a real tabletop character sheet underneath. Pick a Fighter, Rogue, Wizard or Cleric, start at level 1 with nothing but your string, and earn your kit one level at a time. The dice are honest: misses graze instead of whiffing, a natural twenty launches, and the combat log shows every roll if you want to see it.

  • Four classes with real SRD kits: Second Wind and Action Surge, Sneak Attack from behind, Fire Bolt on the attack button, Turn Undead that scatters the skeletons.
  • Five enemy archetypes that fight like a crowd: rushers, archers on the Galaga rule, shield-walls you have to get around, a bugbear that grabs and throws, an acolyte that heals its friends.
  • Stages with campfire checkpoints, hit-dice rests, and a boss at the end. Fall, and you retry from the fire.
  • Controller first on every platform, with keyboard and touch as fallbacks.
